The Cumberland County Board of Education will meet for its September work session tonight, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m.
The work session also features a full agenda with middle school committees at the top of the list.
The other agenda items of note include:
A tennis court update;Building and grounds items: Crab Orchard fencing, Stone Memorial High School baseball scoreboard and Stone Elementary capital outlay;An academic update to review the third grade English Language Arts proficiency and TISA accountability;An update for capital projects in the 2025-26 fiscal year;The athletic field lighting rebate; the strategic plan;The director of schools evaluation draft;Four policy revisions; andDirector of Schools Rebecca Farley’s completed organizational chart.
The board will also review regular budget items: 15 budget amendments; 11 fundraisers; one policy: 2.404 School Support Organizations; personnel reports; school calendars and newsletters; 11 retired inventory items; TN student survey results; and six overnight field trips requests.
The work session will be held in the Central Services Building at 368 Fourth St. in Crossville.
