LAWRENCE — Family, friends and colleagues remember Andres Castaneda as a driven and thoughtful young man.
A new scholarship fund seeks to help others in his memory.
“This will be just the beginning of something big,” said Castaneda’s mother, Iris Inirio.
Castaneda, 26, a local real estate agent and car show guru, was killed in a four-wheeler accident in the Dominican Republic in July 2022.
Inirio, in the hopes of keeping her son’s memory alive, started the scholarship fund in his memory.
The scholarship fund will help other young adults such as her son who have a passion for real estate and love for community, she said.
She said she hopes the scholarship will cover all the expenses,
