SALEM, N.H. — Trailing 6-3 and then 9-6, Salem Post 63 rallied to knock off Merrimack in a slugfest at Michele Park, 14-10.
Jason Sullo’s two-run hit put Salem on the lead for good at 10-9 in the bottom of the fifth. That came after Kevin Hardy’s RBI single had made it 9-8 Merrimack.
Jake Sullo had a huge day, going 4 for 4, including a two-run double in the sixth as Salem expanded to 14-9. Dylan Nason went 3 for 3.
Closing in on the top seed in District B as the playoffs approach, Salem is now 12-3.
