Fairfield Glade Rotarian Colleen Mall spearheads an effort to bring Rotary to Stone Memorial High School.
At that level, Rotary is referred to as Interact. Rotary Interact is a global service organization for young people ages 12-18 sponsored by local Rotary clubs.
Rotary Interact empowers students to make a difference in their communities and the world through fun, meaningful projects, developing leadership, teamwork and vocational skills while embracing Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.”
The kids are required to do service projects and one of those was a recent project that included wrapping gifts for the House of Hope.
Four students, Sam Ferrell, Sydni Smith, Andrii Fed, and Madeline Waschevski helped wrap 20 gifts for the kids.
“Empowering today’s youth with the principles and leadership skills of Rotary is so important, and I am so proud of these kids for wanting to be a part of something so great!” said Rotarian Colleen Mall.
