DANVILLE — Members of the Danville Noon Rotary Club and the Sunrise Rotary Club came together this morning to attend the 75th Annual Kiwanis Pancake Day.
Rotarians from both clubs enjoyed breakfast and fellowship while mingling with Kiwanis members and community supporters, according to a news release from the Rotary Clubs. The long-standing pancake tradition, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Danville, has brought the community together for decades to raise funds that benefit local youth and service projects.
“Our Rotary Clubs were proud to be there to support our Kiwanis friends and their 75 years of dedicated service,” said Terri Cummings, Noon Rotary Club President in the news release. “Danville is fortunate to have service organizations that work side by side for the good of our community.”
The Danville Noon Rotary Club and Sunrise Rotary Club are part of Rotary International, a global service organization whose mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace. Both clubs are active in community service, scholarships, international projects, and youth initiatives.
The Rotary Clubs extend congratulations to the Danville Kiwanis Club on this milestone event and look forward to continued collaboration in serving the community.
Danville Noon Rotary meets the first Monday of every month at noon at Worksource Enterprises. The next meeting will be Monday, Sept. 8 with guest speaker Jodie Ingram, Workforce Education Director.
All are welcome and encouraged to join.
