PLATTSBURGH — Amanda M. Rizzo pleaded not guilty in Town Court to the charges brought to her in a child welfare investigation at Bright Beginnings Childcare Center at the Plattsburgh YMCA.
Rizzo, 40, of Plattsburgh, was charged with eight counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of failing to report suspected child abuse or maltreatment. She appeared before Judge James Joyce in the Town of Plattsburgh Court on Tuesday afternoon.
She will return to court Aug. 4.
The Clinton County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday the charges filed against Rizzo and two other individuals in connection with an ongoing investigation involving the daycare.
Dillon M. Bronson, 21, of Plattsburgh, is scheduled to appear in the Town of Plattsburgh Court on July 21 and Autumn E. Stone, 28, of Plattsburgh, will appear July 28.
The DA’s Office has been involved since the investigation began. The case is active, and the daycare’s involvement remains under review.
