CUMBERLAND — Riverside Sports scored seven of the game’s final eight runs, and its pitching duo combined to hold Growden Heating and Cooling to two hits in an 11-3 Senior Division victory on Thursday night at Washington Middle.
Growden (1-3) pulled to within 3-2 through three innings, but Riverside (2-1) exploded for four runs in the fourth and tacked on two more in each the fifth and sixth innings.
Jameson Resh was 2 for 3 with three RBIs, Colt Resh tallied two hits, including a double, Trent Lapp doubled, and Coye Resh scored three times.
Lapp tossed 3 1/3 no-hit innings to start, allowing two runs. He fanned six and walked three.
Colt Resh struck out 10 in 3 2/3 frames of relief. He gave up a run on two hits and walked two.
Cam Hook doubled for Growden, and he took the loss on the mound in a complete-game effort.
Riverside faced Mettiki Coal on Friday and is at Northern on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Growden took on American Woodmark on Friday and is at Mettiki on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Junior Division
D&D Motors 11, Frankfort 10
LONACONING — D&D Motors led 10-0 after the second inning and held off a furious rally to defeat Frankfort in a Hot Stove Junior Division game on Thursday at Westmar.
Frankfort plated seven runs in the fifth and scored two in the sixth and one in the seventh. A D&D insurance run in the fifth, pushed across by a Soul Miller groundout, proved to be the difference.
Bayne Stowell, Brody McDougal and Declan McGeady had two hits each for D&D, and Izaak Thrasher drove in two runs.

D&D hosts Outdoor Power at Westmar on Monday at 7 p.m. Frankfort battles Flintstone on Tuesday at Memorial Field at 5 p.m.
