MORRISONVILLE — The concert that was already set to draw crowds to the Clinton County Fairgrounds this summer has become even more of a must-see show for country music fans with the addition of one of Nashville’s young, rising stars as the opening act.
Thomas Mac, who first gained widespread attention when his song “Sick Of You” went viral on TikTok, will perform ahead of contemporary country hitmakers Parmalee on Friday, July 11 as part of the 2025 Clinton County Fair, set for July 7 through 12.
“This will surely be our most exciting concert yet,” Clinton County Fair Manager Mike Perrotte said.
Native to Dayton, Ohio, Mac began performing at the Lebanon Grand Opry House at age 14 and landed his first record deal at age 20, the same year he debuted on stage at the Grand Ole Opry.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Johnny Cash, Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney, the social-media-savvy singer/songwriter has amassed more than three million followers on TikTok and has been described as managing to “walk the line between modern and traditional country” with songs like “I Love My Truck,” “Ain’t No,” “The First Ghost Rider,” “Beer vs Women” and “Friend Who Can.”
Gates will open at 5 p.m. on the day of the show, with Mac performing at 7 p.m. Parmalee is expected to take the stage at 8:30 p.m.
Tickets to the event, made possible, in part, by the Clinton County Fair Entertainment Committee, led by chairman Jim Brown, can be purchased online until July 10 at www.clintoncountyfair.com.
Concert tickets do not include fair admission, which is required to attend.
Among the other events slated for the 2025 Clinton County Fair are Lucky E Rodeo on Monday, July 7 and the Demolition Derby on Saturday, July 12.
