With Rescue Roundup, our goal is to help find homes for the animals at the shelter that have been waiting the longest. Every pet deserves a loving home. Apollo Cicada is a 7-year-old pup with a big heart and a playful, puppy-like spirit. After multiple homes and shelter stays, he’s ready for stability. He thrives as the only pet, enjoys women’s company, and does best with structure and enrichment. Apollo is kennel trained, full of personality and known for his enthusiastic “screams” when excited. If you’re seeking a loyal, entertaining companion, Apollo is ready to give you his whole heart.
Grandpa Meatball came to BENCHS as a stray, so his past is a mystery, but his personality is unforgettable. This senior boy loves people and happily makes himself part of your personal space. He has chronic dry eye that requires daily care, and he adores cozy blankets, stuffed animals and dramatic sploot naps on the floor.
Geiko is a 5.5-month-old, 28.6-pound puppy full of curiosity, sweetness, and playful energy. Social and people oriented, he loves dogs and learning. He knows basic cues, is food motivated, and does well on routine. He struggles with long kenneling and needs companionship. No chickens. Geiko is a loyal, affectionate puppy ready to grow with his person.
Don’t let the name fool you, Kitty is all dog and all heart. This 68 pound, young, energetic boy came to BENCHS as a stray and loves people, rides well in the car, and knows his basics. He would do best as the only pet. Kitty needs an experienced home with structure, boundaries, and continued training to thrive.
Cruz is a 6-month-old Rat Terrier mix (best guess) who is friendly, confident, and loves people. He enjoys playing, especially zooming with his brother, and is very food motivated. Cruz will likely grow to around 30 pounds and would thrive with another social dog. He needs continued training, including potty training and basic manners.
Vader is a 52-pound pit bull mix with a big personality and even bigger heart. Coming from a home with over 11 dogs, he arrived in rough shape with a broken femur, but has grown into a strong, resilient boy. He is energetic, affectionate, and loves attention. Dog selective, he needs guidance, structure, and a committed forever home.
