The most important issue for me is the integrity of our election system. I am very concerned about the threats to election workers – and the result that so many election workers left. I feel our system of democracy is at risk.
My view of Donald Trump has changed to one of great fear for our government if he is re-elected. For so many people to continue to follow him when he has done and said so many terrible things about other people, and lied about what he did, is very disturbing.
While President Joe Biden is not my first choice for president, I don’t understand his low approval rating. He did a great job negotiating with European countries to strengthen NATO during Ukrainian war. Our inflation has been caused by the global economy and the global pandemic and, comparing our inflation to other countries, ours has been lower.
Most issues I hear people blame on Biden either are not true (such as low oil and gas production leading to high gas prices) or were caused by Republicans (such as tuition relief).
The issue with impeachment is purely political. Also the issue with Biden’s son is political. Whatever Hunter Biden did wrong is for him to take the consequences. Hunter is an adult with many problems. As far as Trump and Biden being the candidates for president, I wish we had two different choices. I don’t know who would be better for Biden, but there must be someone. While I am not a conservative, I am impressed by Liz Cheany. She is honest and strong.
As for the question: If it is Trump v. Biden, how will you vote? I will never vote for Trump. So it will be Biden for me.

The question about the viability of President Joe Biden, literally, that is a good question, given his age and recent mumblings.
Biden is clearly past his “sell-by” date, but little is mentioned in the media about the fear of his vice president becoming president. VP Kamala Harris cannot be kicked off a Biden ticket and is very likely to be president-via-mortality before the end of a second Biden term. Early fear of her being too liberal has morphed into fear of her incompetence.
Republican impeachment inquiry is irrelevant. Personally, I think impeachment should only be used in the face of high-level criminality or disloyalty. So far, none here. Hunter Biden is a huge public sleaze, but Joe isn’t implicated by the facts, yet.
The inquiry won’t change any election result … unless something currently unknown is discovered.
Trump and Biden the best candidates? Well, 70% of the population and this writer say, “Hell, no!”
Historians will be left to puzzle why the Democrats seem hell-bent on electing Republicans (by keeping Biden), and Republicans seem hell-bent on electing Democrats (by keeping Trump).
Alternatives? Personally, I would choose Liz Cheney and/or Paul Ryan, but Trump has fouled the water (he fouls everything) so they can’t be elected. Legitimate Democrat candidates are the governors of Kentucky and Maryland. Legitimate Republican candidates are Nikki Haley or John Huntsman.
If it is Trump v. Biden, how will you vote? Given that binary choice, I vote “no.”
But there will be options. Watch for a good “No Labels” ticket, or park your vote with a third party of your choice.
