A beloved ‘80s rock band is canceling all of its concerts due to health problems.
The Psychedelic Furs said its spring and summer tour dates are being axed “due to a serious medical issue.” That includes 20 shows with Living Colour, including a stop on Aug. 14 at Buffalo’s Outer Harbor Live at Terminal B.
“Due to a serious medical issue in the band, the tour dates scheduled for spring and summer are being canceled,” a statement said. “Please accept our deepest apologies for the inconvenience. Refunds are available at point of purchase.”

The Psychedelic Furs, featuring original lead singer Richard Butler and his brother Tim Butler on bass guitar, is an English music group known for its mix of new wave, post-punk and alternative rock music. The band released eight studio albums featuring ‘80s hits like “Pretty in Pink” (included in the John Hughes movie of the same name), “Love My Way,” “Sister Europe,” “Heaven” and “The Ghost in You.”
Richard Butler is also known for his work as a solo artist and the lead singer for Love Spit Love, a ‘90s rock band whose song “Am I Wrong” was featured in the 1995 movie “Angus.” LSL’s cover of The Smiths’ “How Soon Is Now?” also appeared on “The Craft” soundtrack and was used as the theme song for TV’s “Charmed.”
Living Colour is an American rock band featuring singer Corey Glover and guitarist Vernon Reid. The group won a Grammy Award for “Cult of Personality” from their 1988 debut album and gained a following with their mix of rock, metal, funk, jazz, hip-hop, punk and ska music.
Living Colour did not comment on the tour cancellation, but shared the Psychedelic Furs’ statement on social media. It’s unclear if the group will reschedule shows without their touring partner.
