KEYSER, W.Va. — WVU Potomac State College baseball coach Doug Little has been inducted into the Mid-Ohio Valley Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
The induction took place during a ceremony held on Aug. 2 in Vienna, Ohio.
In 28 seasons leading the Catamounts, Little is approaching 900 wins and has 21 seasons with at least 30 wins.
“There’s just a lot of great athletes, coaches, and people have come out of the Mid-Ohio Valley,” Little said in an interview with WTAP out of Parkersburg, West Virginia. “For me to be considered and be part of that, it’s really humbling so I’m very grateful for that.”
Potomac State has won the NJCAA Region 20 tournament 14 times and appeared in the NJCAA Division I World Series four times.
Little has received the American Baseball Coaches Association Regional Coach of the Year award 10 times.
Little was one of 11 inductees this year, joining eight other coaches and three athletes with ties to Wirt, Wood, Jackson, Pleasants and Ritchie counties in West Virginia and Washington and Noble counties in Ohio.
