PERU — The Danville Dans hit the road in an attempt to start a new winning streak.

Down 1-0 after the first, the Dans took the lead with a RBI double by Hudson Roberts and a RBI single by Chase Bays in the top of the second.
But in the bottom of the second, Illinois Valley scored six runs, highlighted by a grand slam by Drew Church to go up 7-2.
The Pistol Shrimp would add four more runs in the fourth and would get the final run in the seventh.
Cooper Pumphrey took the loss for Danville, getting five strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings, Nolan Hataway, Addison Stockham, Caden Keleminic and Declan Bowers each pitched after Pumphrey and each had one strikeout.
The Dans are now 6-2 and will play the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes on Thursday.
