MANKATO — A Mankato man had a drug sales charge dismissed but was convicted on a possession charge Monday.
Jason Joseph Tarasewicz, 36, will be placed on supervised probation for three years. A sentencing order in Blue Earth County District Court states his felony possession charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor upon completion of probation.
Tarasewicz was charged after Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force agents reported finding him with counterfeit oxycodone tablets containing fentanyl in his pocket in September 2023. Agents suspected he was selling the pills, a criminal complaint said.
He received credit for 141 days served in jail. His probation requirements include successfully completing treatment, no drug or alcohol possession or use, and random testing.
