MANKATO — A woman was sentenced to prison in relation to a theft in Eagle Lake in September 2022.
Barbara Jo Larson, 29, formerly listed from Stewartville, was convicted Wednesday in Blue Earth County District Court on a felony theft charge involving an item valued at more than $5,000. The charge was amended from what was originally a burglary charge.
A criminal complaint states surveillance footage showed Larson going into a garage in Eagle Lake to take a bicycle valued at $6,000.
She is set to serve at least two-thirds of a two-year sentence at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee, minus 99 days for time already served.
She was also sentenced in a gross misdemeanor financial transaction card fraud case related to another incident in September 2022. Larson reportedly stole a wallet from a car in Mankato about two weeks after the bicycle theft.
Her sentence in the fraud case carries a 364-day jail sentence, minus the 99 days of credit.
