COVINGTON, Ind. — Ashlyn Alexander’s double-double of 11 kills and 14 digs helped the Covington Trojans extend the Wabash River Conference win streak to 27 matches with a 25-10, 25-17, 25-9 victory over North Vermillion.
Also posting a double-double for the Trojans (10-1 overall) was senior Peyton Brown with 32 assists and 10 digs, while Brooke Rottmann shared team-high honors in kills (11) with Alexander, who added a team-high five aces in the victory. Senior Alex Sutherlin had a team-high 15 digs to go along with six kills and four aces.
The Trojans are seeking a fourth straight Wabash River Conference title. Up next for Covington is the Parke Heritage Wolves on Tuesday in Rockville, Ind. The Wolves are the last WRC team to beat the Trojans on Sept. 8, 2020.
