CAYUGA, Ind. — Both Seeger boys and girls track teams were able to dominate at the Wabash River Conference meet on Thursday.
In the boys meet, the Patriots had a score of 143.50, which barely got them past South Vermillion’s 140.50.
Landon Dispennett won the 400 meter dash (51.53 seconds), took second in the 200 (23.06) and third in the 100 (11.31). Anthony Bowen won the 300 hurdles (43.54) and was second in the 110 hurdles (17.01), Nathan Odle was second in the 3,200 (10:57) and third in the 1,600 (4:52) and Isaiah Max was second in the discus (130-1).
The 3,200 team of Odle, John Puterbaugh, Ian Miller and Malachi Lathrop won in 9:26.77.
Fountain Central was fourth with Dallas Hoagland takign second in the shot put (39-8), Michael Gott was third in the 110 hurdles (17.23) and the 3,200 relay team of Carson Kirkpatrick, Gage Harrison, Caylum Wills and Brandon Pigg was second at 9:40.
North Vermillion was fifth with Bradley Cope winning the high jump (6-0) and the 400 relay team of Cope, Christopher Winland, Phillip Grubbs and Lane Thomann won in 47.14 and Andre Buchhaas was third in the shot put (38-10 1/2) and discus (125-1).
Covington was sixth with Marquess Osborn taking fourth in the 1,600 (4:52)
Maria Frasch won the 800 (2:33) and 1,600 (5:36) and Kaylynn Coffman won the discus (96-5) and second in the shot put (30-11) for the Seeger girls, while Adara Austin won the 3,200 (12:51), Caleigh Purcell took the 300 hurdles (49.79) and the 3,200 relay team of Emily Greene, Claire Nern, Marissa Rickey and Audrianna Haire won in 11:30. Avery Fowler was second in the 100 hurdles (17.83) and third in the 300 hurdles (54.57).
Fountain Central was third with Brailey Hoagland winning the 100 (12.89), the 400 (1:00) and the long jump (16-4) while Henley Good was second in the 300 hurdles (53.18) and third in the 100 hurdles (17.86).
North Vermillion was fourth with Isabell Edney winning the shot put (34-6) and took second in the discus (83-0), Breanna Tryon was second in the 800 (2:37) and Smith Riley was second in the 1,600 (5:50).
Covington was fifth with Preslei Lazzell winning the 200 (27.41) and took second in the 100 (13.34) and the 400 team of Allie Hunt, Haley Rottman, Sophia Scott-Musa and Preslei Lazzell took second at 55.16.
