WATSEKA — The Armstrong-Potomac track teams were able to have some moments on Tuesday at the Watseka Coed meet.
The boys team ended up tied for third as Nathaniel Burd won the 100 meter dash in 12.55 seconds and was second in the long jump in an attempt of 5.74 meters.
Issac Kennel was second in the high jump (1.67m) and eighth in the discus (24.63m), while Ethan Holden was fourth in the 100 (12.98), Miles Learnard was fifth in the 200 (26.89) and 400 (1:00) and Jaiden Burd was sixth in the long jump (5.05m) and seventh in the 200 (28.32). The 400 relay team of Holden, Gage Foster, Jaiden Burd and Nathaniel Burd was second (47.96) and the 1,600 team of Foster, Samuel Lanter, Kennel and Holden was also second (3:55).
In the girls meet, Kayla Wernigk won the 3,200 (14:29) for the Trojans, while Aleyah Carley was seventh in the 100 hurdles (22.76) and fifth in the 300 (1:11.80), Adisyn McCarty was sixth in discus (26.18m) and ninth in shot put (7.98m), Addyson Tholl was seventh in the 400 (1:14.29) and Aubrey Self was ninth in the 800 (3:11).
