CAYUGA, Ind. — The North Vermillion softball team started the scoring, but could not finish it on Thursday.
The Falcons had a 6-3 lead after two innings, but West Vigo would score the rest to get a 16-6 win in five innings.
Ava Jumps had a triple with three RBIs for North Vermillion, while Haley Hughes had two hits and an RBI and Olivia Baker had an RBI.
The Falcons are 2-6 and will play Fountain Central in a doubleheader on Saturday.
