DANVILLE — The Danville softball team was able to break a 4-4 tie with five runs in the sixth to get a 9-4 win over Hoopeston Area on Thursday.
Kendall Rannebarger had 11 strikeouts on the mound and had two hits and two RBIs at the plate for the Vikings, while Ava Foster had two hits and two RBIs, Ka’Leah Bellik had three hits and a RBI, Gabby Crider and Amina Downing each had one RBI and Paisley Bean had two hits.
Maddie Barnes had three hits and two RBIs for Hoopeston Area, Macy Warner had two hits and Addyson Kelnhofer added an RBI.
