TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City West won a home quad match Monday, besting Traverse City Central, TC St. Francis and Holt.
West edged out Central by one match, taking 16 on the day to the Trojans’ 15.
The Titans topped Central 5-3 with victories at No. 3 singles (Patrick Elmquest) 6-3, 6-4; No. 4 doubles (Owen Jonjekrijg/Hunter Wilson) 6-3, 6-3; No. 3 doubles (Patrick Sorenson/Chris Stott) 6-2, 4-6, 15-13; No. 2 2 doubles (Carson Tkach/Owen Schmidt) 6-3, 2-6, 10-7; and No. 1 doubles (Colton Bible/Patrick Milne) 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
West also beat St. Francis 6-2. Winners for the Titans were No. 1 singles (Carter Carroll) 4-6, 6-6 (7-3), 10-5; No. 3 singles (Elmquest) 6-1, 6-2; No. 4 doubles (Jonjekrijg/Wilson) 6-0, 6-0; No. 3 doubles (Sorenson/Stott); No. 2 doubles (Tkach/Schmidt) 6-2, 6-0; and No. 1 doubles (Bible/Milne) 6-1, 6-0.
West beat Holt 5-3, with wins by Carroll (6-0, 6-4), Elmquest (6-1, 6-4), No. 4 singles player Finn Bauer (6-2, 6-3), Jonjekrijg/Wilson (6-1, 3-6, 10-5) and TkachSchmidt (6-7, 6-3, 10-3).

Leland and Traverse City St. Francis tied for second in the Grayling Invitational, five shots behind winner Alpena.
The Comets and Gladiators both shot a team score of 388, with the Wildcats combining for 383 in the 12-team tournament.
Elk Rapids took third at 397, followed by Traverse City West (404), Petoskey (405), Cheboygan (407), Grayling (446), Boyne City (465), Kalkaska (480), Harbor Springs (538) and East Jordan, which didn’t field a full team of four.
Petoskey senior Anna Hasse won with a 79 that included birdies on two of the first three holes.
Alpena’s Grace Bouchard took second with an 81, followed by Grayling’s Sophie Lagattuta (82), TC West’s Addy Shark (83), Elk Rapids’ Madelyn Conrad (87), St. Francis’ Maggie Gano (90) and the quartet of YCSF’s Quinn Lumbrezer, Grayling’s Aubrie Schmidt, Leland’s Elise Vann and Alpena’s Sammi Silver tied for seventh at 93.

Benzie Central shut out Reed City 7-0 to mark the first time the program won back-to-back games since 2021.
The Huskies also have a winning record for the first time in the same span.
Junior captain Tyler McNeil scored two goals and added two assists, while freshman Eagon Chandler put in two goals and freshman Declan Downs bent in a corner kick and also assisted two other goals.
Junior captain Wyatt Jaquish and senior Joey Abeyta each scored a goal, while senior captain Jasper Henry had an assist. Senior goalkeeper Rex Gray made 11 saves for the shutout.
Defensive unit of senior captain Ryan Davidson, sophomore Dayr Hebel and juniors Trace Wenkel and Max Bishop helped Gray with the clean sheet.
The Huskies (2-1) host Manistee (0-2) Wednesday.
