LAKE LEELANAU — Glen Lake baseball fell in the championship game of Kris Popp Tournament at Lake Leelanau St. Mary on Saturday along against Portland St. Patrick.
The Lakers fell to Portland St. Patrick 10-1 in the four-inning championship game.
Glen Lake, Lake Leelanau St. Mary, Mesick and Portland St. Patrick all competed.
Glen Lake senior Isaac Hlavka led the way for the Lakers, hitting the team’s lone double and driving in their run.
In the game before, Glen Lake defeated Mesick 12-0.
Laker senior Tanner Crick three four innings while striking out seven and allowing only four hits.
Glen Lake senior Benji Allen was unstoppable, hitting two home runs on the day and driving in three. Peter Gelsinger also smacked three hits and knocked in two runs.
The Lakers are now 14-4 and head to Buckley for Northwest Conference games Tuesday.

Titans dominate jamboree
Traverse City West boys golf took home a Big North Conference Jamboree win today at Treetops Resort in Gaylord.
West shot 282, led behind strong performances from Jason Parrish, Winslow Robinson (70) and Henry Stachnik (72) all claiming top-five spots. Parrish earned the win behind seven birdie performances and a 6-under par 64.
Parrish was followed by Robinson in second place (70); Jack Leclair (Oscoda) 70; Paiton Old (Crosswell-Lexington) 73; Hudson Robertson (TC West) 73; Brandt Hogerheide (Gaylord) 73; Jaxson Soper (TC Central) 74; Simon Licasta (Petoskey) 74 and Cash Rosum (Frankfort) 75.
