WESTVILLE — The Westville girls basketball team had a tough assignment to start the year on Monday against Cissna Park in Vermilion Valley Conference action.
The Tigers saw themselves down 20-1 after the first quarter against the Timberwolves and could not recover in a 53-23 defeat.
Layla Walblay had 12 points for Westville, while Gwen Bennett had eight and Madison Duke added three points.
