CATLIN — The battle for the early lead in the Vermilion Valley Conference came to a head on Monday as Salt Fork took on Cissna Park.
The Storm held on to a 24-21 lead after three quarters, but the Timberwolves came to play in the fourth, outscoring Salt Fork 22-5 to get a 43-29 win.
Alexa Jamison ahd 13 points to lead the Storm, while Brycie Hird, Taylor Remole and Sailor Pacot each had four points.
Salt Fork will play Westville on Thursday as a tuneup for the Vermilion County Tournament.
