ARCOLA — The Oakwood girls basketball team started the season on the right foot on Monday with a 43-15 win over Arcola.
Caydence Vermillion had 14 points to lead the Comets, while Emma Koontz had 10 points, Mady Nicoson had six and Ashtyn Dailey added five points.
The Comets will next play Casey-Westfield on Saturday at the Comet Classic.
