FITHIAN — The Oakwood and Georgetown-Ridge Farm girls basketball team looked for a little momenteum entering the Vermilion County Tournament.
In the end, it was the Comets getting a 42-28 win over the Buffaloes to get that momenteum.
Caydence Vermillion had 14 points to lead Oakwood, while Bella Bradford had nine and Gracie Hanner added six.
Madi Spesard had eight points to lead Geo-Rf, while Milee Ellis and Addisen Ellis each had six and Addi Spesard added four.
Both teams will rematch in Friday’s first game of the tournament at 5 p.m.
