VEEDERSBURG, Ind. — The North Vermillion girls basketball team did not have the luck of the blind draw before sectional play.
The Falcons drew Lafayette Central Catholic in quarterfinal play and could not keep up with the Knights’ offensive power in a 72-32 defeat on Wednesday at Fountain Central High School.
Nora Thomann had 19 points to lead North Vermillion, who was down 39-12 at halftime, while Cadence Dunham had eight points, Kera Dunham had three points and Kayanna Smith added two points.
The Falcons end the season with a 16-9 record, while the Knights will take on either Attica or Riverton Parke on Friday in a semifinal.
