DANVILLE — The Hoopeston Area girls basketball team punched its ticket to the Vermilion County Girls Tournament final on Wednesday with a 34-30 win over Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
Claire Dixon had 18 points to lead the Cornjerkers, while Maddie Barnes had 10 points and Addy Kelnhofer added four points.
Draycee Nelson had 11 points to lead the Blue Devils, while Gentry Elson had seven and Ella Acton added six.
The Cornjerkers will play Salt Fork on Friday at 8 p.m. in the tournament championship.
