HOOPESTON — The Hoopeston Area girls basketball team defeated Georgetown-Ridge Farm 61-32 on Monday in Vermilion Valley Conference play.
Claire Dixon had 19 points, while Klaire Pilcher had 16 points for the Cornjerkers, who will start play in regional action on Feb. 13 at Gibson City against either Westville or Paxton-Buckley-Loda.
The Buffaloes will play Armstrong-Potomac on Thursday.
