WESTVILLE — The Westville football team was able to once again wear down an opponent and move on in the IHSA Class 2A playoffs.
The Tigers defeated DuQuoin 49-13 on Saturday at Memorial Field in a game that saw the offense and defense come through multiple times.
Jack Ajster had four touchdowns for Westville, while Lincoln Cravens had two scores and an interception. Easton Bolin had two interceptions, including one in the end zone in the third quarter that shut off a Indian drive and the Tigers would continue to pile on to drop DuQuoin to 9-2.
With the win, the Tigers are 11-0 and are in the quarterfinals for the first time since the 2017 season.
Westville will remain at home again to take on Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond next week.
