WEST LEBANON, Ind. — The first half saw the Seeger football team down 14-0.
But the defense came through in the second half to set up scoring plays and the Patriots rallied to beat Parke Heritage 29-14 on Friday.
After Seeger got the second half kickoff and was able to score on a drive that was capped off by a 3-yard run by Jacob Salts.
Then the Patriot defense came through as Garrett Wonton would return an interception 58 yards to get the score down to 14-13. Wonton got another interception later in the third, but Seeger would take over the lead with a safety with under a minute left in the third.
Seeger would add two more touchdowns in the fourth to build on the lead and end the game.
Seeger is 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the Wabash River Conference and will face Fountain Central next week.
