CLINTON, Ind. — In a game that was held up the elements at times, the Covington football team was also held up by South Vermillion.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 29-8 halftime lead and would go on to defeat the Trojans 48-14 on Friday.
Covington had rushing touchdowns in the first and a passing touchdown in the third during the loss, which drops them to 2-3 overall and 0-3 in the Wabash River Conference.
The Trojans will play Parke Heritage next week.
