CAYUGA, Ind. — North Vermillion didn’t need to look very far to find it’s new football coach.
Brian Crabtree, who led the the Falcons to the 2014 state championship and a second-place finish in 2018, is returning to the sidelines after taking a one-year hiatus.
Andrew Rodriguez stepped down after leading North Vermillion to a 9-2 season in 2024 and a second-place finish in the Wabash River Conference.
Crabtree, who was the Class 1A Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2018, earned 108 victories and seven WRC titles in his 12 previous seasons with the Falcons.
Before coming to North Vermillion, Crabtree had previously coached at North Putnam and North Central.
