BISMARCK — The Oakwood/Salt Fork soccer team rebounded from a loss on Tuesday to return to Vermilion Valley Conference play on Thursday.
The Comets were able to take the game over from the start and beat Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 6-1.
Mason Swartz had four goals for OSF, while Pedro Rangel IV had two goals and a assist and Macen Phillips, Saul Carrillo and Cayden Richardson each had one assists.
Jakob Rupp had one save in goal for the Comets, who are 20-3 and 12-0 in the VVC and are off until Oct. 19, when they will play either Schlarman Academy or Hoopeston Area in an IHSA Class 1A regional semifinal.
Bryson Lithgow scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils, while Utah Thomas had 10 saves in goal. BHRA will also play on Oct. 19th in an IHSA Class 1A regional semifinal against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Westville.
