ST. JOSEPH — The Oakwood boys basketball team found a way to get into the Toyota of Danville Classic final on Thursday, beating Paxton-Buckley-Loda 54-53 in overtime.
Jackson Dudley had seven points in the extra period and 12 overall for the Comets — who was up 20-16 at halftime, but tied up at 37 at the end of regulation — while Carsen Dudley led the team with 16 points, Alec Harrison had 10 and Cort Vermillion added nine.
With the win, the Comets are not only 8-0, but will play in the Toyota of Danville Classic championship on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
