DANVILLE — The Schlarman boys basketball team had been on a three-game winning streak and went down the street to try to get a fourth straight win.
The Hilltoppers played First Baptist, who was undefeated at 12-0. In the end, the Knights remained undefeated with a 65-53 win.
Jai’Von Nelson had 17 points to lead the Knights, while Josiah Davis had 16 points, Josiah Watson had 11, Eli Epting had 10 points and Remington Rebert added nine points.
Noah Fowler had 22 points to lead Schlarman, while Jerrius Atkinson had 20 points, Peyton Kuemmerle had eight points and Miles Crosby added five points.
The Knights are 13-0 and will face Georgetown-Ridge Farm on Friday, while the Hilltoppers will play Westville on Tuesday.
