DANVILLE — The Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin boys basketball team are at the least set to win another Topper Classic Championship.
The Blue Devils defeated Covington 78-46 on Friday to ensure a spot in the championship game on Saturday.
Keison Peoples had 31 points for BHRA, while Noah Rice had 13 points, Micah Tidwell had eight points, Liam Parish had seven and Darin Farr and Eli Cole each had six.
Creux Rieman had 21 points for the Trojans, while Nash Martin had six and Cooper Stalcup added five.
The host Hilltoppers lost to Paris 64-30. Noah Fowler had 13 points, while Mark Lehmann had seven and Miles Crosby added five.
The Blue Devils are scheduled to take on the Tigers for the title at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday with the Hilltoppers playing the Trojans for third place at 1 p.m.
But weather may be a factor. Schlarman Academy said in its athletics Facebook page that the school will wait until 10 a.m. on Saturday to decide if there will be action. If not, the places of the teams will go by the records — meaning BHRA would be champions — and trophies and accolades will be mailed.
