PREP BASEBALL: Westville wins opener over Tuscola

WESTVILLE — After a slow start, the Westville baseball team would get going in its season opener.
Down 2-0 in the third, the Tigers would score the next six runs to get a 6-3 win over Tuscola.
Matthew Darling and Easton Barney each had two hits for Westville, while Ben Johnson, Chance Quick and Reid Smith each had one RBI.
Quick got the win in relief for starter Cameron Steinbaugh, getting three strikeouts and one hit in 3 1/3 innings for Westville, who will face Danville on Wednesday.
