TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A four-run first inning and a single tally in the fifth proved to be just enough for the Westville Tigers in a non-conference game on Wednesday against Terre Haute South.
Ben Johnson’s bases-clearing 3-run triple in the first inning gave the Tigers (11-1) a lead they would never relinquish.
Junior Matthew Darling earned the victory, striking out 10 in 5.2 innings, while Easton Bolin got the final four out — all on punchouts — to secure the save.
Westville hosts Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin this Friday.
