ARMSTRONG — The Armstrong-Potomac baseball team was not going to mess up a chance to host a regional championship game.
The Trojans were able to make quick work of Schlarman Academy on Thursday in an IHSA Class 1A regional semifinal with an 11-0, five-inning win.
Ryan Edwards, Traxton Roberts and Becket Moran combined for a no-hitter and 12 strikeouts on the mound for Armstrong-Potomac. Kyle Asbury had three RBIs at the plate, while Moran had two RBIs, Carter Freeman and Bowen Hesterberg each had two hits and an RBI and Davyn Franzen had an RBI.
Miles Crosby had seven strikeouts on the mound for the Hilltoppers, while Marc Villaester and Grayson Kruger were able to get on base on walks.
The Trojans are 14-8 and will play Salt Fork for the regional title on Saturday.
