KEYSER, W.Va. — Jaxon Hare had three hits and pitched a two-hit complete game in Potomac Valley Post 64’s 11-1 rout of Strasburg Post 77 in five innings on Tuesday at Keyser High.
Hare was 3 for 3 with two RBIs, and he held Strasburg to an unearned run on two hits with three strikeouts and no walks in five innings.
Charleston signee Blake Jacobs started the scoring with a solo home run to left in the first inning and ended with three hits, three RBIs and three runs.
Lanson Orndorf, also signed to Charleston, scored twice.
Strasburg used five arms and three recorded one out or less. Cylis Estep was the losing arm, surrendering six runs (five earned) on six hits in two innings.
Potomac Valley (5-1) plays in the Mountaineer Country Invitational this weekend, beginning with a matchup against Belle Vernon Post 484, Pennsylvania, on Thursday at 2 p.m.
