MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Potomac Valley finished as runner-up in the WAJR Wood Bat Classic, falling to Parkersburg Post 15, 8-3, on Sunday at Mylan Park.
Post 64 (2-3) started the tournament 0-2 but won two straight to advance to the championship game.
Hunter Harr was 2 for 2 with a double for Potomac Valley, and Trevor Baldwin also doubled.
Wyatt Adams pitched five innings of relief for Post 64, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits with three strikeouts and no walks. Matt McDonald was the losing pitcher.
Parkersburg starter Cam Cumpston was the winning pitcher. He surrendered three runs on four hits in five frames of work. Wyatt Boice tossed two shutout innings of two-hit ball out of the bullpen.
Carder Kinder and Carter McLain doubled for Parkersburg. Dylan Holliday tallied two runs batted in.
Potomac Valley hosts Berkeley Post 14 on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Keyser High.

Potomac Valley overcame an 8-1 deficit after four innings to take down previously unbeaten Uniontown Post 51 in the semifinals Sunday.
Uniontown (6-1) was 3-0 at the tournament prior to bracket play, which included a 7-2 win over Potomac Valley on Friday.
Post 64, which was 1-2 in pool play, plated six runs in the fifth and six more in the sixth to come back. Harr scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the sixth.
Baldwin doubled, Lucas Williamson and Mason Slade had two RBIs each, Williamson, Lucas Wolford and Alex Miller tallied two base hits apiece, and Slade scored three times.
Wolford earned the win in relief, allowing two runs on four hits in 3 2/3 innings. He struck out one and walked two.
Barrett Shuba doubled for Uniontown, and Tate Musko, Brayden Hinzy and Luke Gresh had multi-hit games.
Ethan White was the losing pitcher.
