MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Potomac Valley Post 64 made four errors and walked 12, falling to Berkeley Post 14, 10-0, in five innings Wednesday at P.O. Faulkner Park.
Berkeley (15-5) scored double-digit runs despite hitting safely just five times. Cole Smith had two RBIs, Sam Hefner singled twice and Wyatt McClintock tripled.
Chase Davis singled for Potomac Valley’s lone hit.
Owen Ruppenthal tossed a five-inning, one-hit shutout, striking out seven and walking two.
Potomac Valley (5-12-1) hosts the Berkeley Post 60 Knights at Keyser High on Saturday at 11 a.m.
