KEYSER, W.Va. — WVU Potomac State got back on track Monday with a commanding 110–68 victory over Waynesburg University’s JV team inside Lough Gymnasium.
The Catamounts (4-1) used a balanced scoring attack and high-energy play on both ends of the floor to secure their third 100-point performance of the young season.
After a competitive opening stretch, Potomac State pulled away late in the first half, taking a 47–33 lead into the locker room. The Catamounts continued to build momentum in the second half, outscoring Waynesburg, 63–35, and showcasing depth across the roster.
Jordan Taylor and Darrius Seward led the way with 16 points apiece, while Donovan Ballantine and RJ Greene each added 13. Avion Blackwood chipped in 11 points, and Rodney Vilsaint finished with nine as Potomac State saw 10 players score at least 8 points.
As a team, the Catamounts shot 54% from the field and totaled 24 assists on 43 made baskets. Their defensive pressure forced 20 turnovers, fueling fast-break opportunities and keeping Waynesburg off balance throughout the game.
The Catamounts host Baltimore City Community College on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
