The Brookwood School annual fourth-eighth grade spelling bee was held in Hines-Watt Hall Dec. 1. Through classroom elimination, two students from each grade level were selected for the bee. Spelling bee participants were, from left, Tristan Jones, Class of ‘32; Kai Sun, ‘32; Ava Cuevas, ‘29; Beau Posey, ‘28; Roland Waldrop, ‘28; Katybelle Bennett, ‘29; Louie Garland, ‘30; Aisling Zahniser, ‘31; Lori Trulock, ‘30; and Walt Gibbs, ‘31. Bennett took first in the Spelling Bee with the winning word, “wisdom,” and Waldrop placed second. Posey is from Colquitt County.
