An assault inside a camper in the backyard of a 70th Street home has turned deadly.
Law enforcement sources said Monday an unidentified man, found inside the camper on the night of June 10, died three days later as a result of his injuries. Those same sources said Niagara Falls Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID) detectives were continuing their investigation of the incident.
The sources declined to say if the death was being treated as a homicide.
Patrol officers, along with Falls firefighters and AMR paramedics were called to the camper, in the 200 block of 70th Street, at around 10:43 p.m. June 10 for a report of an unconscious man with a head injury. The victim was treated at the scene and then taken to the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo.
The head injury was described as “severe.”
Falls police have not commented on the incident or the investigation.
