MANKATO — A disturbance at Sibley Park reportedly preceded a nearby crash Tuesday, resulting in multiple injuries to the driver.
A release from the city of Mankato states a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country crashed into a concrete flower bed at 2:04 p.m. at the intersection of Sibley Parkway and Hubbell Avenue. The male motorist was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato for treatment, and his condition is unknown.
The person was involved in an incident with another person in Sibley Park beforehand, according to the release, and the other person got into another vehicle and fled. A photo provided by the city shows the vehicle in question. (See this news item on mankatofreepress.com to view the vehicle.)
