For the first time in 50 years, a Memorial Day parade made its way through the newly redeveloped Baltimore Street in downtown Cumberland under sunny skies on Monday morning. The event was sponsored by County United Way and Let’s Beautify Cumberland! and co-sponsored by WCBC Radio and the Cumberland Times-News. Roger Lantz, a Vietnam veteran who retired as owner of M&M Bake Shop that recently closed after 60 years in business, served as grand marshal. A Memorial Day ceremony preceded the parade.
