CUMBERLAND — A Petersburg, West Virginia, man remained jailed Tuesday after he was arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred just hours earlier, according to Cumberland Police.
Michael Lynn Mumaw, 35, was taken into custody during execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Columbia Street by the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Response Team and C3I detectives.
Mumaw was also served with a circuit bench warrant for violations of probation in connection with a charge of neglect of a minor, police said.
No further information was available concerning the circumstances of the reported armed robbery that led to Mumaw’s arrest.
Mumaw was being held at the Allegany County Detention Center.
