PETERSBURG, W.Va. — Petersburg made 41 field goals and dominated the second quarter 25-0 to roll to a 92-14 rout of East Hardy on Thursday night.
The Vikings (1-0) led 23-2 after the first quarter, 48-2 at the half and 74-10 entering the fourth.
Scoring in double figures for Petersburg were Miley Tingler (19), Ayden Mayfield (15), Shyane Tawney (12), Abi Nettles (11) Ella Markwell (10) and Addie Day (10). Petersburg made four 3-pointers, with Tawney drilling a pair.
Adyson Crider led East Hardy (0-1) with five points.
Petersburg is at Doddridge County on Saturday at 4 p.m. East Hardy is at Frankfort (0-1) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
